They slaughtered the barking dog but FORGOT about the talking parrot who helped police crack the case!
In India, a talking parrot assisted Agra police to track down the man who killed its owner, Neelam Sharma, 45.
According to the vic’s hubby, Vijay Sharma, Hercules the parrot started acting peculiar whenever his nephew Ashutosh stopped by to visit after the brutal Feb. 20 killing of his wife.
“During discussions too, whenever Ashutosh’s name was mentioned, the parrot would start screeching,” Vijay told the Times of India. “This raised my suspicion and I informed the police.”
After police interrogated the suspect, Ashutosh confessed to killing both Neelam and the Sharmas' dog.
"We checked his call details and took him in custody. He accepted his crime and informed us that he was accompanied by an accomplice. They had entered the house with the intention of taking away cash and other valuables,” Shalabh Mathur of the Agra police said.
Ashutosh killed the dog because it was barking but never thought about taking out the parrot.
"We got a lot of help from the parrot to zero in on the murderer,” senior superintendent of police Shalabh Mathur divulged.
