SARAH JONES, the former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader accused of bedding a 16-year-old high school student will accept a plea deal.
The details of the deal of not yet been disclosed.
The 27-year-old former Ben-Gal, who has been on house arrest since being charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, could be sentenced as early as Monday, her lawyer Eric Deters told WCPO-TV.
Appearing on Good Morning America, she had denied the charges last year.
Jones, who taught English at Kentucky's Dixie Heights High School, was accused of sexual abuse linked to a relationship with a student athlete, RadarOnline.com reported.
Last November, she stepped down from her post for "personal reasons."
Jones' 55-year-old mother Cheryl, who is a principal (currently on leave) at Twenhofel Middle School in Independence, Kentucky, is expected to accept a plea deal to a charge of evidence tampering in connection with her daughter’s case as well.
