At least one maniac terrorized the campus of Ohio State University today, with students receiving a notice on social media to “Run Hide Fight!” The shocking alert was sent out at 9:56 a.m. EST by OSU Emergency Management, alerting everyone on campus that shooting had broken out at “19th and College,”on the university’s North Campus.

A suspect has been reported dead, with nine victims reported and at least eight hospitalized. At least one victim is in critical condition, and seven more listed in stable condition.

Police are still on the scene, though, and there were additional reports of other suspects on campus. Two other suspects are said to be in police custody.

One student claims that the person killed by police had been stabbing people on campus — and now initial reports of a gunman are being questioned!

Instead, eyewitnesses are speculating that the original reports of an active shooter might have been caused by armed law enforcement responding to the initial attacks.

Eyewitnesses have claimed that the chaos began with a red SUV driving into a crowd of people. There have been additional reports of one armed man getting out of the car, plus another man with “a knife.”

Early reports also claimed that that — prior to reports of gunfire — professor emeritus William Clark had been injured in a machete attack at Watts Hall, which houses Material Science and Engineering studies.

Locals news reported that a team of trauma surgeons was dispatched to the school’s Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

At 11:28 a.m., an official statement said that four victims were still being treated there, none with life-threatening injuries.

At 11:34 a.m., police declared that the scene on campus is secure, and ended the lockdown. All classes have been canceled.

More than 65,000 students are enrolled at the university, which is one of the largest in the United States.

Despite reports of the suspected attacker being dead, horrified parents were still initially advised not to call OSU students — who may have been in hiding as policemen continued to search the campus.
