Las Vegas police pulled off a trap to catch a suspected murderer of homeless men!
A hunt for the killer collared a man who was accused of trying to assault a mannequin used as a decoy near the downtown site where two homeless men had died of head injuries.
The man in the surveillance video below — Shane Schindler — is shown standing near a sleeping bag containing the mannequin decoy.
As seen above, Schindler reached into a plastic bag he was carrying and pulled out a mini-sledgehammer — then approached the top of the bag and whacked the dummy’s head twice with it!
Schindler then tucked the hammer back into the bag and casually walked away from it, making his way up a nearby street.
Local authorities moved in and arrested Schindler, who was charged with attempted murder.
