Killer Mom Chopped Up Son

Donna Scrivo

By many accounts, Donna Scrivo and her son Ramsay shared a close and loving relationship, but something went terribly wrong in late January – and now the Michigan mom has been charged with his murder!

Authorities say that Donna, 60, brutally murdered 32-year-old Ramsay Scrivo, cut him into pieces with an electric circular saw, stuffed his mutilated body into four separate garbage bags and tossed them out of her car as she drove down a suburban Detroit highway – in broad daylight!

“Talk about a monster mother. She threw him out like he was garbage. It’s sickening,” an officer involved in the case told The ENQUIRER.

Cops were tipped off to the crime by a motorist who saw Donna throwing what appeared to be trash out of her silver SUV.

The motorist was incensed, and pulled over to see if she could find something in one of the bags that would identify the driver. Instead, she found human body parts.

Authorities who responded to the scene recovered a fifth bag containing clothing and burned papers. One of Ramsay’s limbs remains missing.

Cops were able to identify the driver as Donna thanks to surveillance cameras at a nearby gas station that showed her with the silver SUV. Another witness reported seeing Donna, a registered nurse, carrying garbage bags out of the condo she shared with Ramsay.

Neighbors are at a loss to understand what happened.

“I can’t get my head around this,” said next-door neighbor Doris Odren. “I can’t imagine what could have happened between them. I know that she loved her son. She doted on him.” Doris’ husband, Thomas, was just as surprised. “It just seems so out of character,” he said. “She had such a good relationship with Ramsay.”

But there were signs that all was not well with the family.

Ramsay, who had worked at Allstate Insurance, was on probation for assault. Donna had repeatedly gone to court to have him hospitalized for mental illness, telling the court hisanger “had escalated to unsafe levels.”

Her petitions to have him hospitalized were denied, but last May, she was appointed his legal guardian after a judge said doctors had determined he suffered from “psychosis” and was a danger to himself.

Police have not yet released a motive for the slaying.

Donna was arrested on Jan. 31 and has been charged with first-degree murder. She also faces charges for mutilating andmoving the corpse.

The grisly crime has left the local community in shock. “It seems like something taken directly from a thriller or horror movie,” said Beth Laubenthral, a resident of nearby Cottrellville Township.

“You don’t expect something this gruesome in a quiet, sleepy town. “It just goes to prove that evil can lurk anywhere.”
