Convicted killer Jodi Arias believes she will have her murder conviction overturned, The National ENQUIRER has learned.

Arias, who is in the penalty phase of her trial, has already raised nearly $40,000 for her appeal in the killing of ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.

During the penalty phase of her trial, prosecutors continue to depict her as a cold-blooded killer who murdered Travis because he wanted to end their turbulent relationship.

While Arias admitted to stabbing him 29 times, shooting him in the head and slitting his throat, she said it was done in
self-defense.

As The ENQUIRER reported, Arias hired a new defense team to back her startling claims. Recently, her team contended that prosecutors deleted images of child porn from Travis’ computer.

They continue to attack the victim – charging that he was a pervert who used Arias for sex.

“Her mind-set is there’s no way she is getting death, but it’s more than that,” a close source that spoke with Arias divulged. “She is focused on her appeal because she thinks she’ll win it. She truly thinks she will walk free one day.

“This is the most upbeat (Arias) has been in months. She’s ready for this to be over so she can hammer away on the appeal,” the insider added. “She’s talking about writing a book when she’s a free woman!”
