HUMAN REMAINS MAY BE MISSING TEXAS CHEERLEADER HAILEY DUNN

Grisly discovery as human remains have been discovered by investigators in a pasture near where blonde 13 year old HAILEY DUNN vanished more than a year ago.

Law enforcement in Big Spring, Texas, confirmed that human remains were found near the McMahon Wrinkle Airpark yesterday. 

The airpark is less than one mile from the home of Shawn Adkins, Hailey Dunn's mother's boyfriend at the time of the teen’s disappearance.

Det. Sgt. Tony Everett said the remains were there "for a long period of time," according to the San Angelo Standard Times

Det. Everett told media an FBI evidence recovery team from Dallas is expected to process the scene this morning.

There has been no official confirmation that the remains were of Hailey Dunn. Forencis DNA investigators will make the determination.

Adkins was named as a people of interest in January 2011 by Colorado City investigator. At the time Adkins was the live-in boyfriend of her mother, Billie Dunn, but they have split up in the aftermath of Hailey's disappearance.

Adkins was the last person to see the 13-year-old cheerleader alive reputedly on Dec. 27, 2010. Billie Dunn, 33, reported her daughter's disappearance the next day.

Both Dunn and Adkins failed polygraph exams during the initial investigation.

Investigators also said that Adkins has given contradictory statements about the day Hailey disappeared.

On the eve of Hailey's disappearance, Dunn and Adkins reportedly withdrew money from two banks to buy drugs, according to the court affidavit.
