An East Baton Rouge woman has been arrested for a rape she allegedly committed two years ago!
Harlie Vanosdell is accused of raping a boy twice — when she was 19 and he was only 10!
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the child told of two separate occasions when Vanosdell inappropriately touched him, undressed him and forced herself on him.
In an interview conducted by the Baton Rouge Child Advocacy Center, the boy recalled Vanosdell asking him if he knew about the “birds and the bees” before sexually assaulting him the first time.
He then told investigators he ‘felt weird’ during the sexual encounters — and that Vanosdell would hurt him if he resisted her because she was so much bigger than him.
He also said he thought he would be in trouble if he ever told anyone about the encounters.
Vanosdell was booked on two counts of first-degree rape and is being held at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
