Escaped Killer’s Crazed Lust For Oprah!

In a chilling twist to the so-called “Shawshank” prison escape saga, The National ENQUIRER has learned one of the crazed killers secretly drew up a “Hollywood Hit List!”

Richard Matt – whose breakout from an upstate New York jail with a fellow inmate has been compared to the 1994 drama, “The Shawshank Redemption” – has long been obsessed with such stars as Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey and Julia Roberts, a bombshell ENQUIRER news probe has uncov-ered.

“If he’s not captured, there’s no telling what this guy could do,” a law enforcement source confided. “It’s possible he could even make his way to Hollywood and act on his lust for these stars!”

The convicted killer’s fascination with the stars, along with politicians Hillary and Bill Clinton and even President Barack Obama, emerged when a former fellow inmate revealed Matt sent him 10 paintings depicting the famous faces.

“There’s some humanity in Richard Matt,” said John Mulligan, 62, who served time with 48-year-old Matt at the Clinton Correctional Facility.

“There’s a dark side, and that’s what the public is portraying, but there’s also a very human side to Richard Matt.”

Mulligan was jailed after a 2007 bank robbery, and was released in late 2011, according to the New York State Department of Corrections.

After his release, Mulligan sent food packages to Matt, who wrote benign notes on some of his paintings, including one that read: “She changed so many lives. Thank you, Oprah.”

But it’s the escaped con’s “dark side” that concerns authorities. “Some officials feel Matt may have become obsessed with these stars and might do them harm,” the source told The ENQUIRER.

Matt was serving 25 years to life for kidnapping and beating a man to death in 1997.

Fellow escapee David Sweat, 34, was serving a life sentence after being convicted of killing a county sheriff’s deputy in 2002.

Sweat and Matt made headlines when they escaped on June 6, using power tools to drill through the back of their adjacent cells and cut through a metal steam pipe that they used to get outside the prison.

A 51-year-old female prison employee, Joyce Mitchell, was arrested after officials suspected she provided tools to the men.

Mitchell, who is married, had a sexual relationship with both inmates.

As an 800-officer strong manhunt costing $1 million a day continued, the source warned: “If Matt makes it to California, these stars ought to be on guard!”
