New tapes from interviews conducted by police with a Florida couple who starved their 13-month-old daughter to death last year have been released!

Kristen Meyer told investigators she never noticed her daughter, Tayla Aleman, was dying — even though she weighed 7 pounds at the time and was wearing clothing a 3-month-old infant could fit into!

“I saw that she was ok, I never. I knew she was small. I didn’t realize she was that small,” Meyer said to police. “She was eating good.”

Meyer and her husband Alejandro Aleman were arrested following Tayla death and charged with first-degree murder.

The couple never took their daughter, who weighed eight pounds at birth, to the doctor.

Tayla, who was one of 10 other children the couple had, died at the hospital last April.

“I know the baby was eating. I bought the stuff,” said Alejandro Aleman, Tayla’s father, who claimed he was not at all involved in raising her.

Aleman admitted to never feeding, changing or even picking the child up!

“I don’t hold little kids, there’s no law that I have to hold my daughter,” Aleman said.

Police also discovered urine and feces all over the family’s home!

The Florida Department of Children and Families investigated the family several times before Tayla died, and the state agency admitted to mistakes being made.

The couple will appear before the court in January and could face the death penalty.
