Six women have been chosen in the bombshell murder trial of GEORGE ZIMMERMAN who stands accused in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain is accused by prosecutors of killing Martin, 17.

The controversial shooting and trial has polarized key issues in the nation.

After a two week selection process six female jurors were seated.

Potential jurors were grilled about prior knowledge of the case and  personal beliefs on guns control, law enforcement and media coverage of the fatal shooting.

Of the six female juror five are white Caucasians and one is Hispanic.

Prosecutors say the racial and ethnic makeup of jurors is relevant because they contend that Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer for his gated community in Sanford, Fla., profiled Trayvon Martin.

Prosecutors say Zimmerman allegedly followed the black teen when Martin was walking back from a 7/11 convenience store to the house of his father's fiancée.
