A Bend, Oregon woman was arrested for abandoning several children at her own Daycare Center — to go tanning!
January Irene Livsey aka January Neatherlin, was arrested and accused of seven counts of second-degree child neglect, seven counts of reckless endangering and seven counts of criminal mistreatment and theft by deception. She was taken into custody at Deschutes County Jail.
After receiving an anonymous tip, local Detectives staked out the residence and watched parents drop their children off – then watched Livsey exit the home and drive away two hours later!
After nobody came to answer the door, area police entered the residence because of the potential risk of harm – and found seven unattended children between the ages of 6 months to four years!
They contacted the children’s parents as well as the local Department of Human Services.
Detectives found Livsey at a local tanning salon and saw she did not have the children, who were alone in the home for less than an hour.
