MEGAN & SHIA'S KOREA NIGHTMARE
Hot on the heels of ominous news that Hollywood movie ticket sales are suddenly sinking, “Transformers 2” diva-divo duo MEGAN FOX and SHIA LABEOUF stupidly kept 600-plus South Korean fans waiting more than TWO HOURS in pouring rain at the flick’s Seoul premiere – then enraged the diehards further by blowing them off after a few measly minutes, triggering widespread Internet attacks and threats to boycott the film!
And for an arrogant encore, Fox and LaBeouf showed up so late for the next day’s press conference – sauntering in after an insulting 30-minute delay – that media members staged a walkout. Korean bloggers went NUTS, urging fans: “Don’t go to theaters to see ‘Transformers’” – pointing out that recent star visitors TOM CRUISE and HUGH JACKMAN treated Korean fans with respect.
Making it even worse were Megan Fox’s idiotic remarks comparing actors to prostitutes, which got widely quoted in the press. (What, no KIM JONG-IL shout-out, Megan?)
Director MICHAEL BAY belatedly issued a lame apology, blaming himself for the late-shows (oh, please!), but Paramount’s worried the boycott threats will hammer the box office. Stay tuned.
