The "Pirates' star is threatening mutiny over his ex-GF Kate Moss’ upcoming tell-all book!
The supermodel dated the 48-year-old father of two from 1994 to 1997, and sources say she plans to spill ugly details about his boozing, drug-taking and partying in her upcoming memoir.
“Johnny has worked really hard to shed his badboy image, and he’s livid that Kate is going to write about his crazy antics,” divulged an insider.
“He doesn’t want his past dredged up. Plus, he’s worried that someday his kids will read all about what a wild man he was.”
Depp shot to fame in the late ’80s on the hit TV show “21 Jump Street,” and once admitted “pretty much any drug you can name, I’ve done it.”
He made headlines in 1994 when he was arrested for trashing a ritzy New York City hotel room after a heated argument with Kate, now 37.
Referring to his time with the Brit beauty, Depp has said: “I was a horrific pain in the butt to live with.”
He’s been involved with French actress/singer Vanessa Paradis, 38, since 1998. They’re parents to daughter Lily-Rose, 12, and son Jack, 9.
“Johnny is a family man now and Vanessa will flip out if she reads the nitty-gritty details about his wild life with Kate,” claimed the insider.
Waif-thin Kate popularized the so-called “heroin chic” look in the early ’90s and was photographed snorting cocaine in 2005. She has an 8-year-old daughter with a former beau and recently wed rocker Jamie Hince.
“Kate is still bitter about her breakup with Johnny, and she’ll no doubt use the book as payback,” said the insider.
“Johnny has called Kate and sent e-mails asking her to leave out any reference to him.
BUT Kate knows Johnny is one of the main selling points of her life story.”
