STALKER SENT RAZOR BLADES TO PAULA BEFORE HER SUICIDE

Just weeks before Paula Abdul's stalker killed herself, the deranged fan delivered a box of razor blades to the “American Idol” star with a chilling note: “If you can't do it, I will!”

The ENQUIRER uncovered the shocking story behind disturbed Abdul-worshipper Paula Goodspeed, who committed suicide Nov. 11 in front of the “Idol” star's Sherman Oaks, Calif., home.

“Paula's lucky to be alive,” a close friend told The ENQUIRER.

“I think that note was an implied threat, telling Paula to kill herself – or she would do the job for her!”

Authorities say 30-year-old Goodspeed – who had been rejected as a tryout for the hit show – took a fatal overdose of pills after months of stalking Abdul.

The ordeal has left Paula devastated, the friend confided. And for good reason, says a leading expert. “If Paula Goodspeed hadn't killed herself, she would have ended up killing Paula Abdul,” former Los Angeles prosecutor Rhonda Saunders told The ENQUIRER.
