30 ROCK & SOPRANOS NAMED TV'S BEST


The big winners at the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were 30 Rock and The Sopranos which took home the awards for Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Drama. Ryan Seacrest hosted the show on Sunday, Sept. 16 live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Emmys were also handed out to Brothers & Sisters' Sally Field for Outstanding Actress in a Drama and Ugly Betty's America Ferrera for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy. Boston Legal's James Spader won for Outstanding Actor in a Drama and Extras' Ricky Gervais took top honor for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy. 

In the supporting categories, awards were given to Lost's Terry O'Quinn, Entourage's Jeremy Piven, Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl and My Name Is Earl's Jaime Pressly.
