Handicapped and unable to find a job, Danny Philbin, 43 — the only son of talk-show host Regis Philbin — is struggling to eke out a living.
"Our finances have gotten so bad we had to file for debt consolidation, and we barely have enough money to eat. Sometimes we have to borrow money from friends to buy food!" Danny’s wife Judy told The ENQUIRER.
Wheelchair-bound Danny sells crafts to help pay medical bills. "But at this point, we don’t even have enough money to pay the $70 fee for a booth at a craft fair," says Judy.
The second child of Regis and his first wife Catherine Faylen, Danny was born with a spinal cord defect that eventually led to a double amputation.
"Danny is also hurting emotionally, but he just won’t open up to his father. I hope Regis reads this story in The ENQUIRER and reaches out to his son. Danny needs him now more than ever.”
