Announcements made Thursday during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour confirmed that Rosie O'Donnell will be returning to the FX hit series Nip/Tuck.

Nip/Tuck creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy said that O'Donnell will be returning for "several episodes" in the show's upcoming fifth season, starting with Episode 4.

Talks of a spinoff featuring O'Donnell's character, Dawn Budge, are ongoing according to Murphy. "The character was so instantly popular. We've spoken about (a spinoff), it's an ongoing discussion," he said.
