‘I Couldn’t Stand Up Long Enough To Shave!’

Real life ne short

At A scale-busting 655 pounds, Jesse Shand hadn’t left his house in years!

Instead of leading a traditional life, the 28-year-old Michigan man spent endless days locked in his room, trolling the Internet and mocking the muscleheads he envied on bodybuilding.com.

“I wanted to force my misery onto someone else,” he said.

But rather than take the bait, the big-hearted bodybuilders coached him into losing a staggering 376 pounds — and starting a new life! “I had long since given up,” confessed Jesse.

“I couldn’t even stand up long enough to shave my face in one attempt.

“I was a recluse by 2013.

“But they rejected my excuses and showed me ways that I could start small.”

In just two thin years, the impact has been huge! “At first, all I did was put on music and flop around,” recalled Jesse. “Next, I did laps around my small mobile home.”

Then his bodybuilding buddies put him on a healthy low-calorie diet, and had him keep track of his meals.

“This helped by holding me accountable for my actions,” Jesse explained.

When he was able to go on a training program, he started hitting milestones as often as he hit the weights.

Jesse soon was able to take his first shower in two years, and then he managed to fit behind the wheel of a car.

After that, he took his first swim since he was a kid. All that helped him sweat out his hostilities as well!

“It really showed me that even on the Internet, the kindness of strangers can completely change your life,” he said.

Now Jesse’s ready to get back into the job force, buying a suit and setting up interviews!

“The proudest point in my life is when my mother posted a video thanking the people who convinced me to live,” he said. “Now she doesn’t have to worry if her son is going to wake up the next day.”
