The shamed family of evangelist BILLY GRAHAM is covering up a dirty secret that could kill the beloved 96-year-old pastor!
Relatives are making it a priority to keep Billy from learning about the extramarital affairs that forced his grandson to resign as a pastor, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
“It’s exactly the sordid kind of moral failure that Billy spent a lifetime preaching against,” said a family insider.
Tullian Tchividjian gave up his position at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after the pastor admitted that both he and his wife had cheated outside their marriage.
He had originally asked for a recent sabbatical after discovering that his wife, Kim, was cheating on him.
“As her affair continued, we separated,” said Tullian, 42, whose mother is Billy’s oldest child.
“Sadly and embarrassingly, I subsequently sought comfort in a friend, and developed an inappropriate relationship myself.
“I admitted to it, and it was decided that the best course of action would be for me to resign.”
Billy has been in ill health, and family members were grateful to see the nationally known preacher celebrate another birthday this past November.
“I know I’m going to heaven,” the legendary crusader told The ENQUIRER through his son. “I’m looking forward to it with great anticipation.”
But the insider added: “Billy just spends his days praying and resting. The family controls whatever Billy watches on TV and what he reads.
“They can make sure he never learns about this scandal.”
