Music superstar RANDY TRAVIS reportedly “out of it”, slammed his fist violently through a wall in a FoxNews green room.
“He turned up, looking like he’d been up all night, for a sound check around 5 a.m., and then punched a wall in the green room and makeup area, “an eyewitness told the NY Post.
The multiple Grammy-winning Travis evidently mellowed out for a quickie sit-down “Fox and Friends” and a live performance.
The source said that later at 11 AM, “He was supposed to tape an acoustic performance for ‘Good Day New York,’ but he was so out of it he couldn’t do it, and they had to stop taping.”
While Travis had gone on the record admitting that drugs and alcohol once fueled him during his 20s he “stopped just about everything — drinking, smoking, fighting and doing drugs”.
In July, 2010, The ENQUIRER exclusively reported the divorce shocker when Travis, 51 split from wife and longtime manager, Libby Hatcher, 69.
Reps for Travis didn’t respond to repeated calls and e-mails from media. Fox declined to comment.
