His Tweets full of drinkin’, cussin’ and condemnation help cement BLAKE’s rep as “town drunkard” renegade.
Blake Shelton hopes to make a fortune by turning his famous “drunken” Internet posts on Twitter into a hilarious book.
The country superstar has amassed more than five million followers on the social media site and begins many of his funniest ramblings with the words “I’m so drunk…”
Although The ENQUIRER reported that Blake’s wife Miranda Lambert is seriously concerned about his boozing and has urged him to check into rehab, he’s looking to cash in on his love of the bottle after being approached by a publisher.
“Blake’s compiling his funniest alcohol-related Tweets and he’s going to add in other humorous tales about his drunken adventures,” revealed a close source.
“Blake has always wanted to branch out from singing, which is why he took the coaching gig on ‘The Voice.’
“Now, he thinks he’s got a sure-fire, best-selling book on his hands. After that, he says he wants to make his mark on the big screen, preferably comedies – with some booze-fueled humor.”
As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Blake has been building an image as the “town drunkard” – a rowdy throwback to country music’s hard-drinking renegades like Hank Williams Sr. and George Jones.
“Blake plays like he is a country bumpkin, but he’s actually a very shrewd businessman and a creative genius,” said the source.
“Many of his celebrity friends – including Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera – told him to gather his best material for a book.
“He has so many hilarious stories about getting into crazy situations when he drinks, it’s bound to be a rip-roaring success!”
