Internet agog with theories of how Marvel’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. star CLARK GREGG returned from the dead. Guess what – he’s NOT resurrected. Here’s the HUSH-HUSH intel . . .
Producer Joss Whedon’s new series is a spin-off of Marvel’s The Avenger movies with fan fave Clark Gregg toplining as Agent Coulson. Fuelling the Twitterverse is how can Coulson return when he was killed off by demi-god baddie Loki in the international box office smash.
“I know more than you know, but I don’t know that much,” Gregg coyly told VH1.
“There’s a story there. In fact, there’s a couple of them. There’s the one that he believes and it quickly becomes clear that there’s a lot more to the story than he’s aware of and that becomes a real part of season one.”
“People were really convinced — and some remain convinced — that at some point we’ll see Phil Coulson back as the Vision,” Gregg speculated. For those in the dark, The Vision is a super-powered android from The Avengers comics.
“I have a feeling that Joss and these writers will find something that no one has even considered yet.” Gregg demurred.
But long time READERS (like Joss Whedon) of the original Marvel comics from the 1960s know that S.H.I.E.L.D. regularly deployed an “ultimate fake-out system” to fool bone-crushing baddies and death dealing assassins.
A LMD – Life Model Decoy.
What better way than for Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to unite The Avengers as a fighting team then when one of their own (Coulson) seemingly dies.
But, that was no Coulson that died --THAT was a Life Model Decoy. Coulson himself never really died.
