Crinkly “Lincoln” Day- Lewis warns “Silver Linings” player Cooper this town ain't REAL enough ...so vamoose!
“Hangover” hunk Bradley Cooper is ready to abandon Hollywood in a bid to be just like his acting idol, Daniel Day-Lewis!
Cooper, 38, and Day-Lewis, 55, are competing against each other for a slew of honors, including the Best Actor Oscar, for Cooper’s performance in “Silver Linings Playbook” and Day-Lewis’ riveting portrayal of our 16th president in “Lincoln.” But friends say the younger star is in awe of his competitor, and when Daniel talks, Bradley listens!
“BRADLEY MET DANIEL THREE years ago at the Haiti earthquake telethon, and now Bradley laps up his advice,” revealed a friend.
Two-time Oscar winner Day-Lewis, who splits his time between New York and a country home in Ireland with wife Rebecca Miller and their two sons, says he’s bewildered why Cooper would choose to live in Hollywood.
“Daniel only goes to Hollywood on business,” revealed another pal. “And he told Bradley, ‘I don’t see how you can get anything done there. Everything is all hype, so you don’t know who to believe.’ That was all Bradley needed to hear. He’s ready to pack his bags.”
The single Philadelphia native is said to already be scouting property in the northeast. Once away from Hollywood’s bright lights, he hopes to focus on becoming a more serious actor like Day-Lewis.
“Daniel told him it’s scary to be outside the Hollywood bubble and that even he has worried if he’ll ever work again,” revealed the friend. “But somehow the big directors always come calling.”
