Money-hungry camera hog KATE GOSSELIN wants to give dancing another try — by pushing to get her daughters on the controversial show "Dance Moms"!
The 36-year-old mother of eight — who tanked on Season 10 of "Dancing with the Stars" — believes her girls can become not just tiny dancers, but big stars, sources say.
"Kate is obsessed with keeping her family in the limelight, and she's been in serious talks with the Lifetime series' producers to incorporate her daughters into the show," a source told The ENQUIRER.
"She thinks 'Dance Moms' is the perfect vehicle for getting her girls back in front of the TV cameras, and hopefully will lead to bigger opportunities for all the Gosselins."
Nearly 60 million viewers tuned in to Season 1 of the reality show, where girl dancers compete for a spot on Pittsburgh's Abby Lee Dance Company, led by instructor and owner ABBY LEE MILLER.
Now in its second season, the series has sparked controversy due to Abby's strict schedules and demanding manner with her students, as well as her vicious battles with their moms.
Cash-strapped Kate — whose last show "Kate Plus Eight" was canceled by TLC last August due to poor ratings — is desperate to revive her family's reality TV career, insiders say.
As The ENQUIRER recently reported, she planned to turn to Kardashian clan matriarch KRIS JENNER to help reinvent her family as the next Hollywood dynasty.
Now, Kate feels "Dance Moms" would be a perfect fit because the dance studios are within driving distance of the Gosselin home in Wernersville, Pa., and she wouldn't have to travel out of state, added the source.
"Kate's ultimate goal is for the entire family to get roles on TV and in movies," said the source. "She sees 'Dance Moms' as a chance to get back in the big-time — where Kate's convinced she belongs!"
