MARILYN MONROE alleged porn film surfaces in Buenos Aires, hits auction block. Starting bid a cool half a million.
The 8mm short starring a then-unknown Monroe is the undisputed highlight of the first Buenos Aires Film Collecting Fair.
The film, shot sometime between 1946 and 1947, is expected to sell for twice the opening bid.
The black and white, six minutes film was previously owned by a Spanish collector who passed away recently.
The only other copy of this film, in 16mm, which first surfaced in 1997, was sold to a private collector for $1.2 million in 2001.
Controversy sparked over whether or not it was actually Monroe, then an under age Norma Jean Baker, who appeared masturbating and having sex with an unknown man.
The authenticity of the stag film was solidified by a 1996 letter from the American Film Institute president who wrote if it wasn’t Monroe; it was “her twin sister.”
Previously sealed documents from the FBI and a set of jewelry worn by MM in the sexer were found to be consistent with secret files on the troubled “Some Like it Hot” beauty.
The FBI also put to bed rumors that her mystery lover in the skin flick was a young JFK who is said to have bedded the blonde beauty during his Presidency.
As The ENQUIRER reported in 2008, another 16mm sex looper starring Monroe sold at auction for $1.5 million.
