Regis Philbin has given his talk show bosses an ultimatum — if they don't give him what he wants he's ready to join the rival network that's desperate to have him on board!
The producers of Live With Regis And Kelly are stalling over Reege's demands for a whopping new $60 million contract.
But sources say bosses over at Fox want him to set up a brand new morning talk show — and are willing to pay what it takes. Agents for Reege, 74, have been approached to set up the new program, which could compete not only with Live, but with NBC's Today show, ABC's Good Morning America and CBS' The Early Show.
A source said: "Over at Fox, they view Regis as the next best thing to come along since the Simpsons. Regis loves the fact that they consider him a mega-talent and would likely pay him that $60 million he's been trying to get now for several long and hard months."
