O.J. Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas on Sunday in connection with the alleged armed robbery at the Palace Station casino-hotel on Thursday. Prosecutors plan to charge Simpson with two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion, according to Clark County District Attorney David Roger. If convicted of the booking charges, Simpson — who is being held without bail — could face over 30 years in prison.

O.J. Simpson has been questioned by police and named as a suspect in an alleged robbery at the Palace Station casino in Las Vegas. Simpson, who was acquitted on charges he murdered his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994, admitted he was in the hotel room in question but denies breaking in. Simpson told the Associated Press he was conducting a "sting operation" to recover sports memorabilia that he believes is his.
"Everybody knows this is stolen stuff," Simpson told the AP. "Not only wasn't there a break-in, but [auction house owner Tom] Riccio came to the lobby and escorted us up to the room. In any event, it's stolen stuff that's mine. Nobody was roughed up."
A police spokesman said there were "conflicting stories from the two sides."
Simpson has been released from police custody and the district attorney's office will decide whether to pursue charges.
Coincidentally, a book written by O.J. Simpson claiming how he would have committed the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman had he actually done it was published by Goldman's family.
