The misdemeanor hit-and-run charge against Britney Spears was dismissed on Thursday, Oct. 25. Spears' lawyers reached a settlement with the owner of the car Brit hit back in August, offering to pay approximately $1,000 in damages.
Britney still has to deal with the charge of driving without a valid California driver's license, stemming from the same August accident. The pop star pleaded not guilty via her lawyer J. Michael Flanagan in court Thursday. She was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 26 to deal with the case.
In other Britney news, the pop wreck was photographed with the prescription drug Provigil in her bag on Wednesday as she made her way to a parenting class with her ex, Kevin Federline.
According to Provigil's Web site, the medication is used to treat excessive sleepiness caused by certain sleep disorders. These sleep disorders are narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome and shift work sleep disorder.
