Lindsay Lohan was nearly barred from a role in a potential career saving film for being uninsurable.
Producer Rick Schwartz of new flick Labor Pains had to fight to get the unflappable Lohan bonded.
"Schwartz could only find one insurance company to cover her," a production insider told The New York Daily News.
"And even then he had to really vouch for her."
Historically, actors with a history of substance abuse have problems getting film insurance and LiLo is still on probation for two DUI busts.
It is hoped that the hilarious Labor Pains will turn Lohan's career around.
"It's definitely the kind of movie people want to see Lindsay in, not like I Know Who Killed Me," the insider revealed.
If not, there's always an auto-erotic Herbie sequel.
