With her baby due in just a few weeks, Kourtney Kardashian is spending her final days of pregnancy running interference between meddling mom and frustrated boyfriend.
Kourtney's mom Kris has been butting heads with baby daddy Scott Disick over everything from child-rearing decisions to where the new parents will live, say sources.
"Kourtney is trying to keep the peace," revealed a family insider. "Kris never warmed back up to Scott after rumors surfaced that he cheated on Kourtney when they first dated. Kris routinely second-guesses Scott's decisions and tries to keep a tight leash on him.
"Kris only has her daughter's best interests in mind, but her meddling is even getting on Kourtney's nerves now."
Kourtney made a surprise announcement in August that she and Scott had rekindled their broken romance and were expecting a baby together.
Scott moved into Kourtney's house in Calabasas, Calif., but following an Oct. 17 burglary in which approximately $108,000 in jewelry was stolen, Kourtney and Scott temporarily relocated to her parents' San Fernando Valley home.
"Scott and Kris under one roof is a recipe for disaster," continued the source. "Kris is always needling Scott about picking up after himself and making digs about his fidelity issues.
"Scott is on a mission to find a new home immediately. He's looking at the Hollywood Hills or Malibu because he wants some distance from Kourtney's family."
Kris, Kourtney and Scott are also clashing over who will watch the baby when Kourtney is working.
While Kourtney and Scott are considering hiring a nanny, Kris doesn't like the idea of a stranger caring for her first grandchild, says the insider.
Kris has told the couple that she and Kourtney's stepdad Bruce Jenner, as well as Kourtney's sisters Kim and Khloe, will help with baby-sitting.
But Scott hates the idea of the Kardashians being too involved.
"He's already worried that Kourtney will be overwhelmed after the baby arrives trying to juggle her hectic career with home life. He doesn't want to be saddled with the added stress of her family breathing down their necks."
