Pence was less than 100 feet from North Korean forces as he blasted their warmongering leader, declaring: “”We’re going to abandon the failed policy of ‘strategic patience’ — but we’re going to redouble our efforts to bring diplomatic and economic pressure to bear on North Korea!”
And in a troubling twist for North Korea’s top brass, Pence declared that Trump now has the backing of China in keeping Kim Jong-un in line!
Throughout the George W. Bush and Obama administrations, North Korea could rely on the support of China’s military might. But that’s changed ever since Trump sat down with Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China.
“I know the President was heartened by his discussions with President Xi,” said Pence. “We’ve seen China begin to take some actions to bring pressure on North Korea — but there needs to be more.”
And despite Kim Jong-un’s recent humiliation over a failed nuclear test, Pence also made it clear that the U.S. agrees that North Korea is a major risk to America’s future — with experts saying that Kim Jong-un could be ready to nuke U.S. cities by 2020!
“I know the President of the United States has no higher priority than the safety and security of the American people,” said Pence. “The presence of US forces here in South Korea are a long-standing commitment to the Asia Pacific — and insuring the security of the continental US will be a priority in this administration.”
