The hunt is on for the body of murder victim Ashley Mead — and cops are searching from the peaks of Boulder. Colo., to the swamps of Louisiana! That's because cops believe that Adam Densmore chopped up the 25-year-old body's and left a series of body parts behind while enjoying a road trip. The grisly murder still involves a missing torso, with a cop saying the slaughter is "limited only by your imagination!"
Densmore was arrested in Tulsa, Okla., on Feb. 15. He had hit the road with the 1-year-old daughter that he had with Ashley, both reported missing on Tuesday — although neither had been seen since Sunday. Shortly after Densmore was arrested, police found a torso in this nearby dumpster. The grisly find had been placed inside a suitcase.
Now authorities are trying to piece together where else Densmore could have ditched parts of Ashley's body, with a trip that covered New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. "Investigators believe the murder took place in Boulder, and at least part of the dismemberment took part in another state, possibly Louisiana," said Chief Joe Prentice of Oklahoma's Okmulgee Police Department.
Police in Shreveport, La., have already found body parts that they believe are the remains of Ashley. Detectives in Boulder have announced that the rest of Ashley might be found in other purple suitcases resembling the ones shown here. The former couple's 1-year-old daughter is currently in the custody of Oklahoma Child Protective Services.
