Amazingly, Elizabeth was caught out in Columbia, Tenn., by Daily Herald reporter James Bennett while she was babysitting two children. The reporter caught the girl, now 16 years old, in her pajamas while taking her charges to a local fast-food restaurant. And while Elizabeth said she'd been warned about saying "anything about the criminal case," there was one shocking revelation!

"I don’t regret it," she said, when asked about running off with her 50-year-old married teacher, "nor do I say it was the right thing to do. It was an experience I’ll have to live with the rest of my life. It’s good and bad. It’s there. No matter what we do, we’ll have to deal with it."

Elizabeth added that she's now being home-schooled, and that her favorite subjects are "economics and science." Cummins was her Health Sciences teacher when they both abruptly disappeared on the morning of March 13 from the small city outside of Nashville. They
were found together in a California cabin a month later — with the teacher now charged with felony kidnapping and misdemeanor having sexual contact with a minor.
