Seattle Mayor Ed Murray is being accused of sexually molesting a teenage high school dropout — as well as two other troubled teens during the 1980s! The mayor, who was elected in 2013, has denied the allegations through his personal spokesman, Jeff Reading. One of the accusers charged in a startling lawsuit that Murray had “raped and molested him” over several years, beginning when he was 15 in 1986 and addicted to crack cocaine!

Murray (seen here with husband Michael Shiosaki) was in his early 30's at that time, and the now-adult male claims the future mayor first approached him on a city bus. The man recalled Murray inviting him back to his apartment and then propositioning him for sex. According to the lawsuit, the future mayor paid him between $10 and $20 for at least 50 encounters over the next four to five years! “I have been dealing with this for over 30 years,” the man said.
Two other men — Lloyd Anderson and Jeff Simpson — said they met Murray when they lived in a Portland, Oregon, center for troubled children. They also accused Murray of abusing them in the 1980's and paying them for sex. Simpson said Murray raped him "over several years" starting at age 13 — and began paying him for sex in later years. The men claimed they raised the allegations a decade ago placing calls to both local reporters and Washington state lawmakers. “I would really like for him to admit it and to take responsibility,” said Simpson.

“These false accusations are intended to damage a prominent elected official who has been a defender of vulnerable populations for decades,” said a statement issued by Jeff Reading. “It is not a coincidence that this shakedown effort comes within weeks of the campaign filing deadline. These unsubstantiated assertions, dating back three decades, are categorically false.” The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, and no previous financial demands of Murray were ever made.
