According to the White House, bin Laden's body was helicoptered to the waiting U.S.S. Carl Vinson, one of America's three aircraft super-carriers. Once aboard, bin Laden's body was reportedly buried at sea within 24 hours, as required by Muslim law.

Furthermore, the burial was said to have included all the proper Muslim rites. "We are ensuring it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition," said a senior White House official. But the e-mails between top Stratfor executives cast doubt on the story!
