Mel Gibson Moves Holocaust-Denying Dad Into His Church

Mel Gibson’s fading father is spending his last days in the Catholic actor’s private hilltop chapel. Hutton Gibson — a conspiracy theory nut and Holocaust denier — is getting around-the-clock care from staffers at Gibson’s rustic Church of the Holy Family, in Agoura Hills, Calif.  A source close to the ailing 98-year-old told The National ENQUIRER: “Mel wants his father to spend his final days on the hilltop, where he’ll be looked after!”

“Hutton used to go out for lunch to a local café, but hasn’t been seen in public for months,” added the insider. “He’s holed up in the church.” Mel's dad filed for divorce from his second wife Teddy Joye in 2013. She had previously filed for a restraining order against Mel, claiming the controversial star threatened her, tried to sabotage her marriage and even spat in her face during a heated row — all of which Mel denied.

In addition to seeing to his father’s care during this final days, Mel has also been addressing the old man’s Holocaust-denying legacy. As the ENQUIRER recently reported, the Academy Award-winner has quietly been supporting the “Survivor Mitzvah Project,” a charity that provides needy Holocaust survivors with food, heat, medicine and shelter.
