Marilyn Monroe: Shocking Autopsy Secrets

The legend of Marilyn Monroe will never die — even as a lock of the late star's blonde hair comes up for auction this year. The bizarre memento has been cherished for years by obsessive fan Frieda Hull, who obtained the peroxide artifact from Marilyn's hairdresser. But the grim reality of Marilyn's shocking death revealed troubling truths about the screen icon!

Hollywood mortician Allan Abbott was in the room with an embalmer during the autopsy after the star’s Aug. 5, 1962, death. The pair's grim task became even more troubling when they discovered the world’s most famous sex symbol had given up glamour in her sad final days!

"When we removed the sheet covering her," Allan recalled, "it was almost impossible to believe this was the body of Marilyn Monroe. She looked like a very average, aging woman who had not been taking very good care of herself!"

Marilyn didn't even die as a blonde beauty. Instead, revealed Allan, the star's hair looked nothing like the platinum locks up for auction: “Her natural hair color was light brown, not blonde. Her legs hadn’t been shaved for at least a week. Her lips were chapped. She also needed a manicure and pedicure.”

Allan added that — since Marilyn had been lying on her stomach when she died — the blood had settled in the body. The movie star had been left with ugly “purple blotches on her face, and her neck was very swollen.”

After the autopsy, Monroe’s death was ruled a suicide. Investigators, however, insist that actor Peter Lawford helped to stage a suicide scene (pictured) to cover up Marilyn's murder by her married lover — U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy!

But the "Some Like It Hot" vixen — who had already blabbed about her affair with President John F. Kennedy — kept some secrets of her own. Workers preparing the 36-year-old for her funeral also discovered the supposedly busty beauty wore “a small pair of false breasts” and false teeth!

Studio makeup man "Whitey” Snyder, who later arrived to apply the dead star's cosmetics, explained that Marilyn’s breasts had begun to sag with age.

But another surprise came when Marilyn’s clothes were delivered to dress her for burial. The star's final shocking secret also reveals one item that will never go up for auction. “The wife of the cemetery’s manager," said Allan, "informed me that Marilyn didn’t wear panties — and she couldn’t any among her clothing!"
