Druggie Macaulay Culkin’s ‘Strange’ Behavior

Macaulay Culkin has made another bizarre appearance as he hit the stage of a nightclub in Cambridge, England — in a performance that eyewitnesses called "confused" and "strange." The 35-year-old "Home Alone" star only managed to stay onstage with director/musician pal Adam Green for a short time. That was still long enough for his friends to once again fear the worst!

The National ENQUIRER has earlier reported that the troubled actor refuses to get off drugs, according to insiders. They report that the former heroin addict is now using the equally-dangerous drug methadone as a substitute “fix.” Said one friend: “When Mac wants or needs to get sober, he goes for the occasional fix of methadone at Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospital in New York City. As far as I’m aware, he has yet to enroll in a full-time program meant for long- term sobriety." But now former addict Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly desperate to save Macaulay Culkin from his drug hell.

“Robert’s heard all the shocking stories about Mac’s heroin addiction and depression and knows he can help him — if only he can get the chance,” a source told The ENQUIRER. The 51-year-old “Iron Man” star — who ended up broke and in prison because of his own struggles with booze, cocaine and heroin — wants to stop Macaulay from becoming a tragic child-star statistic.

“He’s reached out to Mac, but so far there’s been no response,” the insider noted. “Friends say that Mac’s in denial about his addiction and doesn’t think he needs help.” Macaulay  (seen here at a sex club in Barcelona with porn actress Irene Lopez) has been in a downward spiral since being busted in 2004 for drug possession, and has recently made several bizarre appearances around his home in New York City.

THE ENQUIRER first revealed Macaulay’s descent into drug hell in 2012 when we reported he was spending a whopping $6,000 a month on heroin and the powerful prescription painkiller oxycodone — a claim his rep vehemently denied.  Macaulay appeared jittery while weaving in and out of traffic on a busy Manhattan street on March 30. Shocked onlookers said Macaulay — with stringy blond hair hanging past his shoulders — looked “scruffy” and “unkempt.”

A pal told The ENQUIRER: “If you saw Mac, you’d think he was a homeless bum or a drifter. He certainly looks the part!” In yet another disastrous twist, The ENQUIRER can reveal the drug-addled star is awash in alcohol. “Mac’s a regular at Warehouse Wines & Spirits located on the same block as his apartment,” said the source. “He likes a variety of booze, and goes in there at least twice a month to buy alcohol by the case.”

Now, between the drugs and alcohol, Macaulay is so paranoid that he hides out at his Big Apple home most of the time. An ENQUIRER spy revealed, however, that Macaulay — who also has actress Mila Kunis reaching out to him — will often slip out for a late-night snack when coming down from a booze or drug high. He can occasionally be seen at a McDonald’s near his apartment.

“When he was last seen in McDonald’s, he looked f**ked up!” dished our spy. “He ordered a cheeseburger meal and had his shades on, even though it was late at night!”  And when he ventures out of New York, Macaulay seems determined to create an international spectacle!
