According to the criminal complaint, Kevin had “knowingly, intentionally, or recklessly caused/attempted to cause bodily injury to the complainant/girlfriend, Torrei Skipper, by grabbing complainant around the neck and throwing complainant against a refrigerator, thereby causing injury.”

Kevin was released from jail after paying $1,000 bail, and a “stay away order” was issued. The charges were eventually dropped. Kevin and Torrei married in 2003 and divorced in 2011, after having a son and daughter. He later admitted: "I can say I messed my first marriage up. I'm man enough to say that."
