Hollywood starlet JEAN HARLOW put her best foot forward — along with a very nice leg — as the original blonde bombshell fished for fans in this 1930s publicity shot.
The sultry beauty had already caught the eye of millionaire movie maker Howard Hughes, who cast her in the 1930 film “Hell’s Angels.” That role included her notorious line: “Would you be shocked if I changed into something more comfortable?”
Jean was destined for fame, but personal happiness would elude her. After three short-lived marriages, she finally found love with fellow screen star William Powell.
Sadly, their passionate relationship came to a tragic end when Jean suffered kidney failure and died at the age of 26.
