“NBC network honchos are terrified that Chrissy is killing herself and want to save her before it’s too late,” an on-set spy told
The National ENQUIRER. At just 5-foot-5 and 389 pounds, the 36-year-old actress (with costar
Chris Sullivan) could be eating her way to an early grave, causing pals, co-stars and medical experts alike to become alarmed.
“She’s morbidly obese, which means that she is at high risk for dying prematurely,” said Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a fitness expert and physician who hasn’t treated the star (with costars Kevin Hartley and Sterling K. Brown). “The odds are overwhelming that she’s already diabetic and is at high risk for a heart attack soon.”

Even more dangerous is where Chrissy’s fat is concentrated. “Her belly is enormous, and fat in your belly means you have fat in your liver, which will kill you!” he said.

Despite a denial from NBC and producer
Dan Fogelman,
a show insider said Chrissy (with
Milo Ventimiglia and
Mandy Moore at the 2017 Image Awards) was meant to pare down as her character goes on a diet and fitness regimen. “They wrote the weight loss into the show intentionally to force Chrissy to lose weight,” the source spilled.

And Chrissy (with Milo at the 2017 MTV Movie And TV Awards) was initially all for it! “I booked a role that’s
so similar to who I am,” she said. “When that was obviously posed to me as, maybe this character’s going to be on a weight loss journey, I was like, ‘Oh! That’s convenient. OK! I could do that, too.’” Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out that way.

“Chrissy actually gained more than 75 pounds since the premiere!” said the source. Medical professionals concur if the actress doesn’t do something drastic, she may be writing her own death warrant. “Obesity isn’t remotely funny,” said nutrition expert Dr. Stuart Fischer, author of “The Park Avenue Diet.” “Obesity is a risk factor for 65 different, equally dangerous diseases including three cancers that affect women.”
