Caroline Kennedy Frolics Before Her Power Play

Caroline Kennedy is finished as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan — but the sole surviving child of John F. Kennedy is working her way back to a new power play. The National ENQUIRER caught the 59-year-old heiress on the beaches of St. Bart, but insiders believe she's ready to run for office in New York. That burning ambition might reignite a vicious feud with Hillary Clinton, too!

The ENQUIRER revealed how Hillary and Caroline have been at odds ever since the 2008 election, when JFK's daughter endorsed Barack Obama for president in 2008. “I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But … I believe I have found the man who could be that president,” she wrote during the campaign. Hillary took revenge, though— and was then exposed through leaked emails!

A damning document showed that Hillary's confidante Sidney Blumenthal had worked hard to sabotaged Caroline’s bid for the U.S. Senate seat vacated after Obama moved the former First Lady to Secretary of State. Caroline campaigned hard to be handed the Senate seat by New York state governor David Paterson, but she was soon ridiculed as a socialite being handed a powerful position.

Then news stories appeared that revealed Caroline hadn't voted in a single election in New York City since she first registered in 1988. The planted stories were a classic maneuver by Blumenthal, known as "Sid Vicious" for his decades spent manipulating the media for Hillary. But now Caroline is a former member of the Obama administration, which gives her new political clout to run for office — and flaunt her position over a vanquished Hillary.

Caroline — seen at St. Barts with her husband Edwin Schlossberg — already has Kennedy insiders talking her up in media circles. "Caroline is seen in some quarters as the next Hillary Clinton," whispered one source to reporters. "She has the Kennedy name but no Clinton baggage!” Regardless of Caroline's next move, she's going to come back to New York tanned and relaxed!
