Caroline Kennedy: Divorce Shocker For Ex-Diplomat

Caroline Kennedy — President John F. Kennedy’s only daughter — is on the brink of divorce, and sources are opening up to The National ENQUIRER about the shocking lies, bizarre love secrets and heartbreaking tragedies that drove the couple apart!

Caroline, 59, wed New York businessman Edwin Schlossberg, 72, in 1986, but insiders reveal it’s a union in name only. “The marriage has been a joke,” a snitch tells The ENQUIRER. “Caroline and Edwin have lived separate lives for years now!”

The couple have raised three children — Rose, 29; Tatiana, 27; and Jack, 24 — but insiders say the couple turned shaky when then-President Barack Obama appointed Caroline as ambassador to Japan in 2013. “After that, Caroline was living overseas, while Ed mostly stayed home in New York,” tattles the source. “They liked it that way.”

But Caroline, a staunch Catholic, has indicated in the past she’d never split with Ed, who’s also an artist and author, because she doesn’t believe in divorce, the source explains. “Caroline had decided there’s been enough tragedy, scandal and bitter marital conflict in the Kennedy family. As the last surviving daughter of Camelot, she didn’t believe a divorce was in the cards for her.”

But when it comes to a future with her husband, Caroline may now be waffling. “Caroline’s cried tears over the marriage,” tattles an insider. “She felt that she was living for everyone but herself! But now that she’s no longer ambassador to Japan and her kids are grown, Caroline feels that she can do what she wants. She can start a new life — including a new love life!”

A graduate of prestigious Columbia Law School, Caroline is also broadening her business horizons. She was recently elected to the board of directors for Boeing, giving her a hand in guiding the multinational corporation.

“Caroline is starting the next chapter of her life,” notes the source, “and it may be as a single mom!” In the past, Caroline seemed to flirt openly with other men — even when her family was near! In 2015, then-First Lady Michelle Obama reportedly exploded in fury when Caroline crashed the Obama family’s summer vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, and made off with the First Husband!
