Brian Wilson: Tragic Beach Boy Confined To Wheelchair

Troubled pop star Brian Wilson — beloved by millions as the genius behind The Beach Boys — cut a downcast figure while being wheeled around Los Angeles International Airport. It was a sad sight for fans of the 74-year-old legend who's fought mental illness and drug addiction all through his long career. Sadly, Brian's family history of crippling back pain has caught up to him even as he fights to tour until his death!

“It’s a compulsion,“ Brian said about his live shows. “It feels good. It makes you want to keep going. I’ll probably keep going till I drop!” The aging Beach Boy even has shows lined up through May of 2017 — although fans regularly watch him being assisted to the stage!

"He's needed assistance coming out since at least 2010," said one dedicated Brian fan — adding: "He's had back surgery in the past, and his brother Carl and father Murry were also in serious pain!"

And yet Brian — who had a notorious mental breakdown that made him a recluse through the 1970s — keeps insisting that he's in great shape for the road. “I do a lot of exercise," he declared in 2015, adding: “I walk in the park almost every day!"
