"Sorry to have to post this article," Bill said on social media, "but it is necessary to expose the evil in play in this country." He provided a link to a bombshell article from the conservative publication Newsmax — which had reportedly courted O'Reilly to join them for a television project after he left FOX.

"Sorry to have to post this article," Bill said on social media, "but it is necessary to expose the evil in play in this country." He provided a link to a bombshell article from the conservative publication Newsmax — which had reportedly courted O'Reilly to join them for a television project after he left FOX.
The article contains new allegations against Perquita Burgess — who made headlines in April 2017 when she said that O'Reilly had once made a series of sexual comments, and even once referred to the African-American FOX employee as "hot chocolate." But, O'Reilly promoted, Newsmax had found that Burgess had once been arrested for falsely reporting a crime to police in Detroit.

The Feb. 11, 2015 arrest, declared Newsmax, "has raised serious doubts as to [Burgess'] credibility...According to the police document, Burgess called authorities and alleged her boyfriend had struck her in the face with a gun. Police said when they arrived at the scene, Burgess 'appeared intoxicated.'"

Newsmax also reported that "a social media user thought to be Burgess tweeted on Nov. 24, 2012: '… up until 10 years ago,
Laurence Fishburne could get every oz. of my hot chocolate.'" The publication added that Burgess' attorney,
Lisa Bloom, responded that "Ms. Burgess has used many terms to refer to herself...That does not give others — especially her superiors in her workplace — permission to use offensive language about her."

O'Reilly, however, insists that the Newsmax coverage is "very telling" about Burgess, who he describes as "a person who attacked me." Also, he promised, there's "more to come."
