Bill Cosby Claims ‘Blindness’ To Beat Rape Charges

Bill Cosby is still trying to get out of a rape charges in a criminal case — and he's using decades of showbiz experience to beg for sympathy! The comic's pit-bull attorneys told a judge in Pennsylvania that charges of him sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 should be dismissed because too much time has passed. As a result, insisted attorney Angela Agrusa: “He is physically impaired. We can’t test his memory because he can’t see!”

But The National ENQUIRER caught Cosby looking happy and healthy while bounding off an airplane in Sept. 2016! The disgraced comic used a cane and looked like he was being guided to the courtroom yesterday. Just weeks before, however, he didn't need any assistance taking the stairs down from a private jet landing in Massachusetts — as seen in these photos!

This picture was taken shortly before Cosby once again tried his ploy in another appearance before the Pennsylvania court. “Bill milked the blindness thing for all it was worth, thinking that the judge just might let him off the hook,” an inside source claimed to The ENQUIRER. But the claim didn’t work in September, either!

After the once-beloved star had made several court appearances using a cane and clutching an aide’s arm, Judge Steven O’Neill simply declared that Cosby would be supplied with whatever aids he needed to get through the eventual trial. “All the faking in the world couldn’t save him,” said the insider.

As these photos show, the lust-crazed comic was laughing heartily as he got off his private jet. He was clutching the wooden cane and not using it for support. But it wasn't long before the 79-year-old had his eyes closed and held an aide’s arm while carefully leaning on the cane as he was escorted into a Sept. 6 hearing.

In the wake of The ENQUIRER exposé, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert Falin easily argued against Cosby attorney Agrusa in court during the Nov. 2 hearing. Falin mocked claims about her client's poor eyesight, asking: "Is he really saying that he can’t see a photo if it’s held six inches from his face?”

As earlier reported by The ENQUIRER, Cosby's attorneys also made some more legal maneuverings. That included trying to bar the testimony of 13 other women who claim to have been drugged by the alleged serial rapist. The lawyers also still insist that Cosby shouldn't go to trial after promises made during a civil suit that he settled with Andrea.

A source close to Cosby told The ENQUIRER: “Bill is desperate to do anything that he can to drag this thing out as long as possible. The idea of spending his last days behind bars is more than he can bear!" The insider added that Cosby’s willing to shower his $400 million fortune on lawyers, expert witnesses and whomever — and whatever — he needs to stay out of the slammer. The source said: "He told a pal, 'I’m not going to die in prison!'"
