ABDUL ID'D BY HER DOG

You’re out of the spotlight more than five minutes, here’s what happens: PAULA ABDUL, strolling Hollywood Boulevard’s famed Walk of Fame with pals, passed a sidewalk event thronged with celeb look-alikes, and a pack of tourists who spotted her started yelling stuff like: “Wow, you’re a dead-ringer for Paula Abdul”…“Wow, you look just like Paula!”

The idle “American Idol” icon grinned and shot back: “Thanks, people – but I am the real Paula Abdul.”

The crowd was skeptical until Paula convinced them she was the real deal by popping open her tote and producing… Ta-Da!...her frequently photographed Chihuahua, teeny Tulip.

The crowd went wild as Paula graciously posed for pics with her fan-addicts, who kept repeating: “We will miss you so much on ‘Idol.’ ”
