Forget more troops deployed to Afghanistan - American viewers are livid that President Obama's speech tonight will pre-empt annual airing of beloved TV classic A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Obama's speech on all 3 basic TV nets will outline how administration plans to send 30,000 more troops to the Taliban ridden country.

Yet ABC had originally scheduled the toon of Charles Schulz's immortal Peanuts characters enjoying their Yuletide and discovering the true mission of Christmas.

For many viewers, it's not about the deployment of troops.

Thankfully, the Alphabet Net has rescheduled the vintage toon special December 8 at 8 PM.

Or you can just watch a crappy low-rez version on YouTube.

UPDATE: According to west coast sources, Charlie Brown aired as originally skedded - 3 hours after Obama spoke LIVE EST .
