MURDERED WIFE HAS LAST LAUGH ON KILLER HUBBY
Julie Jensen is dead and buried
- but she identified her husband
Mark as her killer from her grave!
Before she died, the 40-year-old
gave a letter to a neighbor that said if
she died, Mark Jensen should be the first
suspect.
"I pray that I am wrong and nothing
happens, but I am suspicious of Mark's
suspicious behaviors and fear for my early
demise," Julie wrote.
In a dramatic Perry Mason moment,
Julie's letter was admitted as testimony at
her husband's murder trial - but only after
the Wisconsin Supreme Court created new
rules of evidence following a U.S. Supreme
Court decision.
Julie's body was found at her home
in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., in 1998. Her
husband was charged with first-degree
murder in 2002, but legal wrangling delayed
the trial until January of this year.
In court, prosecutor Robert Jambois said
Mark Jensen had searched the Internet for
information on poisoning two months before
Julie's death. He poisoned her with at least
two doses of antifreeze - so he could take up
with a mistress he has since married.
Jensen even told a co-worker that he'd
searched for ways to poison
his wife - and while he was
in jail awaiting trial, a
fellow inmate testified
that Jensen confessed to
killing Julie.
